Pantoscopic tilt: measurement and convention
Pantoscopic tilt describes the vertical tilt of the frame front in its wearing position, relative to the instrument or procedure reference.
Consistency
Record degrees with the frame adjusted. Identify the sign convention and reference before comparing measurements from different systems.
Operational example
If the frame was readjusted after capture, recheck the parameters required by the design. An earlier photograph may no longer represent the current position.
Limit
Do not derive a universal fitting height from this angle. Follow the manufacturer and lens design instructions.
